(today IBM). The original name was "Statistical Package for the Social Sciences". For research the usage is licensed for students and professors. A single workstation license may be installed on a maximum of two devices on which the same person works and does not use both installations at the same time. A license key is always valid until 30.09. of a year. However, the download is only possible from universities in Lower Saxony and Bremen! Outside of these IT networks, a VPN connection to the GWDG is required before the download can be started. Access is possible remotely from any Windows or Macintosh computer on the GoeNET.
