Multi-factor authentication

The customer portal (available at https://id.academiccloud.de) offers the option of activating multi-factor authentication so that you can confirm your identity in two steps.

The faculties of the University of Göttingen have the possibility to purchase Yubikeys via the Central Purchasing Department of the University of Göttingen. More detailed instructions will follow.

Please collect your Yubikey requirements within the faculty and do not send orders for individual quantities. Prices for the Yubikeys are as follows:

The Yubikey Securitykey is sufficient for normal SSO login to the Academic Cloud Login. If you currently have special VPN requirements (use of VPN before logon), you will need a Yubikey Series 5. Please speak to your network administrator.
