Primary Email Address

Several variants for email addresses are available for your personal mailbox, e.g.:

1. userid@gwdg.de
2. userid@uni-goettingen.de
3. name.surname@department.uni-goettingen.de, e.g. name.surname@phil.uni-goettingen.de

E-Mail Addresses of the first kind are always connected to the respective mailboxes.
E-Mail Addresses of the second kind are only available to university staff.
The third kind of E-Mail Addresses finally contains the faculty the user's institute belongs to, like the Faculty of Humanities in the above example.

One of these e-mail addresses is defined as the primary e-mail address which should be used for services such as E-mail, SharePoint etc.
