POP3 / IMAP

To access your emails from diverse email programms, use standard protocols: POP3 or IMAP.

Type in the following mail server description regardless of the protocol type:

Incoming Mail Server (POP3, IMAP4) : email.gwdg.de
Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) : email.gwdg.de

For authentication use your user ID, additionally you may need to indicate the domain (e.g. GWDG-users use gwdg\lmuelle8 , here GWDG refersto domain and lmuelle8 refers to user ID). Choose the secure connection type via STARTTLS:
